Device & Technical Details:

  • Device Model: Samsung Galaxy S25 (SM-S931B / SM-S931U / SM-S9310)
  • Platform / SoC: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite / Exynos Platform
  • Target Recovery: TeamWin Recovery Project (TWRP) Custom Recovery
  • Android / One UI: Android 15 / One UI 7
  • Status: Tested & Working for Bootloader-Unlocked Models

Prerequisites & Important Warnings

  1. Unlocked Bootloader: Your bootloader must be unlocked via Developer Options and Device Unlock Mode.
  2. Knox Trip Warning: Flashing a custom recovery permanently trips Knox (0x1), which permanently disables Samsung Pass, Secure Folder, and Samsung Pay/Wallet.
  3. Flashing Tool: Odin3 (v3.14.4 or newer).
  4. Driver: Official Samsung Mobile USB Drivers installed on PC.
  5. Disable Encryption Multidisabler: A patch zip to disable dynamic partition encryption (dm-verity / forceencrypt).

Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Step 1: Unlock Bootloader

  1. Navigate to Settings > About Phone > Software Information.
  2. Tap Build Number 7 times to enable Developer Options.
  3. Open Settings > Developer Options and enable OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging.
  4. Power off the phone. Hold Volume Up + Volume Down and connect to your PC via USB cable to enter the Bootloader Unlock screen.
  5. Long-press Volume Up to unlock the bootloader (this wipes all user data).

Step 2: Flash TWRP via Odin

  1. Boot the phone into Download Mode (Volume Up + Volume Down while inserting the USB cable from powered-off state, then short-press Volume Up).
  2. Open Odin3 on your PC.
  3. Place your patched twrp_s25.tar file into the AP slot.
  4. In the Options tab:
    • Uncheck Auto Reboot (prevents stock recovery restoration upon reboot).
  5. Click Start and wait for the green PASS! status.

Step 3: First Boot to TWRP & Disable Encryption

  1. Force restart the phone by holding Volume Down + Power.
  2. The instant the screen turns off, quickly switch to holding Volume Up + Power until the TWRP logo appears.
  3. Once inside TWRP, go to Wipe > Format Data and type yes to remove factory storage encryption.
  4. Flash the multidisabler zip via Install to prevent bootloops and stock recovery overwrite, then reboot to system.
