Prerequisites & Important Warnings
- Unlocked Bootloader: Your bootloader must be unlocked via Developer Options and Device Unlock Mode.
- Knox Trip Warning: Flashing a custom recovery permanently trips Knox (0x1), which permanently disables Samsung Pass, Secure Folder, and Samsung Pay/Wallet.
- Flashing Tool: Odin3 (v3.14.4 or newer).
- Driver: Official Samsung Mobile USB Drivers installed on PC.
- Disable Encryption Multidisabler: A patch zip to disable dynamic partition encryption (dm-verity / forceencrypt).
Step-by-Step Installation Instructions
Step 1: Unlock Bootloader
- Navigate to Settings > About Phone > Software Information.
- Tap Build Number 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Open Settings > Developer Options and enable OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging.
- Power off the phone. Hold Volume Up + Volume Down and connect to your PC via USB cable to enter the Bootloader Unlock screen.
- Long-press Volume Up to unlock the bootloader (this wipes all user data).
Step 2: Flash TWRP via Odin
- Boot the phone into Download Mode (Volume Up + Volume Down while inserting the USB cable from powered-off state, then short-press Volume Up).
- Open Odin3 on your PC.
- Place your patched twrp_s25.tar file into the AP slot.
- In the Options tab:
- Uncheck Auto Reboot (prevents stock recovery restoration upon reboot).
- Click Start and wait for the green PASS! status.
Step 3: First Boot to TWRP & Disable Encryption
- Force restart the phone by holding Volume Down + Power.
- The instant the screen turns off, quickly switch to holding Volume Up + Power until the TWRP logo appears.
- Once inside TWRP, go to Wipe > Format Data and type yes to remove factory storage encryption.
- Flash the multidisabler zip via Install to prevent bootloops and stock recovery overwrite, then reboot to system.
