[Technical Guide] Infinix GT 20 Pro (X6871) Android 15 FRP Bypass & Reset

Device & Technical Information:

  • Device Model: Infinix GT 20 Pro (X6871 / X6871B)
  • Platform / SoC: MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate (MT6896 / 4nm)
  • Stock OS: Android 14 / Android 15 (XOS 14 / 15)
  • Security Protocol: High-Security SLA/DAA Auth + Android 15 Verified Boot (AVB) + Dynamic Partitioning
  • Target: Google Account Factory Reset Protection (FRP) Removal
  • Operation Modes: MediaTek BROM / Preloader Mode & Fastboot/System Handshake

Prerequisites & Critical Warnings

  • MediaTek High-End SLA/DAA Architecture: The Dimensity 8200 Ultimate (MT6896) employs hardware-level SLA/DAA cryptography. Simple one-click USB bypass tools without supported server-side auth or updated Dimensity DA loaders will fail with handshake errors (STATUS_DAA_SIG_VERIFY_FAILED or BROM_ERROR).
  • Do NOT Flash Full Partitions: To clear FRP, only write/erase the dedicated frp or persistent partition. Never flash raw scatter files or wipe nvram/nvdata/protect, as doing so destroys network calibrators, baseband, and device IMEI.
  • Required Tools & Drivers:
    • MediaTek MTK USB VCOM Drivers installed on Windows.
    • Dedicated service tool supporting Dimensity 8200 / MT6896 Auth (UnlockTool, Pandora Box, Chimera, or EFT Pro).
    • Quality USB Type-C data cable connected directly to the motherboard USB port.

Method 1: BROM / Preloader Exploit (Servicing Tool Method - Recommended)

This is the cleanest and most reliable method to clear the FRP partition directly at the hardware layer without risking user partition corruption.

Step 1: Tool Preparation & Model Selection

  1. Launch your servicing tool (e.g., UnlockTool or Pandora Box).
  2. Navigate to the MediaTek universal tab or select Transsion / Infinix.
  3. Select Model: Infinix GT 20 Pro (X6871) or choose SoC: MT6896 / Dimensity 8200.
  4. Set the loader to Transsion Preloader / Dimensity Auth.

Step 2: Device Connection

  1. Power off the phone completely. Wait 10 seconds to ensure power rails are fully discharged.
  2. Select the [BROM/Preloader] Erase FRP function in the software.
  3. Depending on your tool's protocol:
    • Preloader Mode (Default): Simply connect the USB-C cable while holding Volume Down (or plug directly without holding any buttons if using modern Transsion Preloader DA).
    • Hardware BROM Mode (Force): Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down simultaneously and insert the USB-C cable.
  4. Release the buttons the moment the software detects the MediaTek USB Port (V1632) or Transsion Preloader USB VCOM Port.

Step 3: Partition Erase & Verification

  1. The tool will execute the exploit handshake, inject the Download Agent (DA), and target the frp partition address.
  2. Look for the completion log:

    Plaintext
  3. Code:
    Scanning MTK Port... OK [COMx]
    Handshake... OK
    Reading Partition Table... OK
    Targeting Partition: FRP
    Formatting FRP partition... OK
    Rebooting Device... OK
  4. Disconnect the USB cable and power on the phone.
  5. Complete the initial setup wizard; the Google sign-in step will now display a functional Skip button.

Method 2: Manual Accessibility / TalkBack Setup Exploit (No Box / PC)

For devices running Android 15 where a server-authorized servicing tool is unavailable, you can bypass the setup lock through accessibility menu routing:

  1. On the initial "Welcome / Select Language" screen, connect to a functional Wi-Fi network.
  2. Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down for 3 seconds to trigger TalkBack. Turn it ON.
  3. Draw a reverse "L" shape on the screen (┘: swipe up, then swipe right).
  4. When prompted for permissions, double-tap "While using the app", then double-tap "Use voice commands".
  5. Speak clearly into the microphone: "Open Google Assistant".
  6. When the assistant interface appears, speak or type: "Open Settings" or "Open YouTube".
  7. Turn off TalkBack by holding Volume Up + Volume Down again.
  8. If inside YouTube: Tap the Profile icon > Settings > About > Google Privacy Policy or Terms of Service to launch the Chrome browser.
  9. In Chrome, access an FRP bypass utility portal (e.g., search for open settings or lockscreen managers).
  10. Navigate to Special Function / Accessibility > Accessibility Menu and enable the Accessibility Menu Shortcut.
  11. Go to Settings > Apps > App Management:
    • Tap the 3 dots > Show System Apps.
    • Locate Android Setup > Force Stop and Clear Storage/Cache.
    • Locate Google Play Services > Tap Disable, then Force Stop.
  12. Return to the initial setup screen. Proceed until the screen loops on "Checking for updates...".
  13. Tap the floating Accessibility Menu shortcut > tap Assistant repeatedly until the Settings shortcut pops up for Google Play Services.
  14. Tap Settings and re-enable Google Play Services.
  15. Press the back button once to return to the setup screen; the Google verification step will bypass and allow you to set up the phone.
